I got excited at the beginning of this book because it had so much action and romantic potential. However once the couple got together the romance became a bit monotonous and the action totally died. The ending felt rushed and poorly thought through. left me disappointed

I agree with the other review the writer missed the opportunity to explain the tension between the bride and sister in-law; guessing it's shielding the heart from fear due to previous 'loss' love ones. The love story with Ren and Lia is beautiful. The family is wonderfully blended from the matriarch to the new born. Lucky (Lia's brother) felt as if he was born into this family because he's loved by all. I want to read more about Ren and Lia regarding how their family continues to grow (more babies) and how her wit and intellect adds to his wealth and position.

I was rather disappointed to discover that I had read almost the entire book only to be let down by such an anti-climactic (in fact, nearly boring) climax. Not only that, but one character conflict - - which the author apparently construed as important enough to mention several times (to avoid a spoiler, let's just say it concerns the attitude of the hero's sister toward the heroine) - - was never actually explained. It was apparently just miraculously gone, but the reader is left wondering what the issue ever was. The extreme (& incorrect) over-use of commas is distracting and causes a reader to pause when reading where it's not necessary, thereby disrupting sentences' flow. And often where there should be commas, they're missing. I certainly hope the author did not pay anyone as an editor, for she definitely did not get her money's worth.

Despite the first half of the book being very engaging & well-paced, the second half was, unfortunately, rather predictable & moved somewhat sluggishly. I was rather disappointed to discover that I had read almost the entire book only to be let down by such an anti-climactic (in fact, nearly boring) climax. Not only that, but one character conflict - - which the author apparently construed as important enough to mention several times (to avoid a spoiler, let's just say it concerns the attitude of the hero's sister toward the heroine) - - was never actually explained. It was apparently just miraculously gone, but the reader is left wondering what the issue ever was. The extreme (& incorrect) over-use of commas is distracting and causes a reader to pause when reading where it's not necessary, thereby disrupting sentences' flow. And often where there should be commas, they're missing. I certainly hope the author did not pay anyone as an editor, for she definitely did not get her money's worth.
